Example of protective mechansim of body is when the finger touches a hot cooker, the hand immediately withdraws the finger through reflex action. The information does not go the brain, the action is that of reflex. If a cricket ball would come at terrible speed to the eye of a cricker player, his eyes would immediately close and protect the eye. Likewise, a devastating information if they enter the brain, the mind will hold the processing of information to "protect the individual from heavy shock" and "prepare the individual for the heavy shock"
