People deposit their hard earned money in banks so that they can get it back when money is needed in future. When somebody steals that money he is called a robber, put in prison and beaten up by police.

Vegetables like carrots, beetroots, potatoes etc store food in their roots for retrieval when food shortage occurs for them in future. When people pluck their roots (carrots, potatoes...), cook them and eat them, they are "nicely" called as vegetarians.

Humans robbing humans becomes robbery.
Humans robbing vegetables just becomes eating.
